- Thought the cat as he sat near the mouse's hole in the family home. I have loved your books from the first one. The characters are so full that you wait to meet them someday. The archeological characters are just as real and the way you allow us to see them is very clear as if we are there. Yet one does not lose contact with the current time and events. Very successfully done. Wanted to pre-order the next one but it isn't listed yet so I am so anxious to find it. Love the length of your books as you don't rush us to an end. Please continue as it's such a great escape for your readers........which, by the way, is what happens for the crafty mouse who thought of making a second door the cat couldn't have known of.
- This series keeps getting better with each book. Since Quinn now knows she has a twin sister, I cannot wait to find out what her life has been like. I also like how Quinn's relationship with Gabe has evolved and seems to be getting stronger. I hope that doesn't change.
The forbidden love story between Kate and Guy was truly sad. Poor Kate was truly forsaken, first by her father and then by Hugh, her husband. She was truly a victim of greed and manipulation. At least she found love with Guy for a short period of time. The way women were controlled and used by men, whether it was a father or husband, during this era was really depressing. Cannot wait for the next book! - True to form - I love the continuing story of Dr. Quinn Allenby and her search for her own family while going back in time to discover other people and how their lives ended the way they did. Irina Shapiro has a gift for telling two stories simultaneously and weaving the two between each other. Great read and I can't wait for Book 5.
- I looked forward to this newest book in the "Echoes from the Past" series and was not disappointed. Kate was a very compelling figure and made you want to find out more about her.
Quinn and Gabe make great main characters. I enjoy the present story going along with the past. Am looking forward to the next one. - As time goes on during book series, you lose the essence of the characters . I mainly like the medieval suspense stories . The present stories are getting boring and tedious ..

- I have all of Shapiro's book's and I have enjoyed reading them, I am now on Unseen, having to do with St Petersburg, different than her other books mostly written about England. I found Russian History very interesting and found visiting St Petersburg fascinating. (Baltic cruise trip) TY
